Applications

  • Chemical Processing: Monitoring and controlling the flow of chemicals in production processes.
  • Water Treatment Plants: Measuring water flow in treatment and filtration processes.
  • Food and Beverage Industry: Used to measure the flow of liquid ingredients in food and beverage production lines.
  • Pulp and Paper Industry: For measuring the flow of water and pulp slurry.
  • Pharmaceutical Industry: Ensures accurate liquid flow measurement in pharmaceutical manufacturing.

How It Works

The electromagnetic flow meter operates based on Faraday’s Law of Induction, which states that when a conductive liquid passes through a magnetic field, it induces a voltage that is proportional to the flow velocity. The flow meter has electrodes installed in the pipe that measure this induced voltage. The meter processes the signal to determine the flow rate, providing an accurate digital or analog output that can be used for monitoring or controlling processes. The absence of moving parts makes it highly durable and reliable, reducing the chances of mechanical failure or maintenance needs.
